The 2010 Max Mara Face of the Future Award® was presented to Zoë Saldana on June first at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
Star of the unparalleled film phenomenon Avatar, along with last summer’s enormously successful Star Trek, Zoë Saldana has captivated audiences and critics alike with her fresh beauty, intelligence, energy and wit. She’ll next be seen in theaters this April in both Screen Gems’ Death at a Funeral and Warner Bros’ The Losers. Her additional film credits include: Center Stage, Guess Who, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and The Terminal.
The Max Mara Face of the Future Award®, supported by Women in Film and inaugurated at the 2006 Crystal + Lucy Awards®, is given to an actress who is experiencing a turning point in her career through her work in the film and television industries and through her contributions to the community at large.
Past recipients have been Elizabeth Banks, Emily Bunt, Maria Bello e Ginnifer Goodwin.
