Spring – Summer 2019

Marella dedicates its spring/summer 2019 collection to the woman who is always on the move and that is looking for easy-to-wear, contemporary and feminine items.
A down-to-earth attitude starts from the classic yet modern and captivating sartorial trouser suit: coming in Prince of Wales design, intense pink, red, camel, turquoise, navy-blue, nude, light blue, water and delicate pink. Many colour and pattern variants which redesign Marella’s springtime wardrobe, inspired by the 80s not just thanks to a reinterpretation of the power suit, but also for the lettering VITA. A word full of meaning, which turns into a pop-style pattern on the pink and black dress with asymmetrical gathering, on the pleated skirt and the black and camel criss-cross blouse. The range of coats displays a shiny patent trench and a bomber in technical water-proof fabric, both in camel hues for a light and sophisticated colour palette which characterises Marella’s springtime collection and is highlighted by the maxi-coat, the biker-jacket, the midi-skirt and fades towards nude tones.
Active-style details make their way into the formalwear wardrobe: urban-style replaces athleisure. Side bands appear on trouser suits, on the mini-dress in flowing crêpe de chine and on the maxi-cardigan.
Full colours blend with bold and evocative patterns for the spring: tropical flowers, foulard, cravat, animal, micro bouquet patterns, lurex stripes, large and small polka dots. The effect is enhanced by the use of brand new patchworks on a single print by combining the same pattern in contrasting colours for an effect that highlights fit & flare dresses, blouses with a bow, flowing maxi-dresses, asymmetrical tops or wide pants.
The colours for the summer collection are warmer, the atmosphere is hot and there is a sense of escape from routine, ranging from the spicy hues of copper and dust pink, to white and Riviera blue, from jungle green to gold. The new suit is in a pattern characterised by light tones where shorts are the new fit for trousers, the maxi-cardigan displays a tropical pattern, the wide pants feature a drawstring and tassels on the waist. Lightness is the main theme and the collection is more destructured and easy-to-wear, the most sophisticated outfit consists of wide pants and a boxy-shaped blouse instead of a jacket. Presenting a wider range of dresses: draped, with deep necklines, small shoulder straps, criss-cross, drop-shoulder, T-shirt dresses, all of them focusing on visual prints: foulard, damier, lurex stripes or in bold tones. The need for a fresh and easy-to-wear outfit distinguishes the summer range, where a selection of long skirts and high-rise wide pants combined with ton-sur-ton blouses almost look like a maxi-dress.

MARELLA SS19 ART. 365 COLLECTION
There is a strong continuity in the style of the Marella ART. 365 collection which retains its functional and versatile soul and displays elegant and minimalist aesthetics. The sartorial items blend with the softness of all-season fabrics which for spring/summer 2019 come in just two colours – black and white – either separately or combined with the new print of the season: damier.
Tailoring is more relaxed and presents a double-breasted blazer without lapels, mini-dresses with shiny/opaque details, egg-shaped with see-through sleeves, V-neck jumpsuits, trouser-suits with long-length jackets in black or white and the full-print long-length chemisier dress, the outfit with a short-length jacket, the boxy-shaped blouse and the T-shirt dress. With just few items you can form your own wardrobe, personality defines style.
Strong, not substantial continuity.

MARELLA SS19 SUIT COLLECTION
For spring/summer 2019 Marella interprets a classic of workwear by adding details and colours and providing a whimsical touch to chicness and functionality. The trouser-suit has made a great comeback in the wardrobe of women: on the on hand it represents a staple item for a more rigorous
style, on the other it provides a new idea of strong and powerful femininity. Fabrics display a sartorial look which is highlighted by Prince of Wales and pinstripe patterns and is never too pretentious. Pinstripe appears on the long-length double-breasted waistcoat and is combined with high-rise trousers, the Prince of Wales suit displays a floral embroidery which makes the masculine-inspired range a little more delicate. As an alternative to patterned fabrics, Marella focuses on contemporary full colours such as millennial pink, bright red, camel, turquoise or on more classic hues such as blue, nude and pink with sporty details consisting of side bands and contrasting lapels.

MARELLA SS19 SECRET PARTY
The spring/summer 2019 occasion wear collection by Marella is even more chic; the elegant shapes meet unexpected blends of patterns: polka dots, stripes and silk-scarf prints.
Drop-shoulder long dresses, flowing and draped dresses reminiscent of the Eighties, with pleats or embroidery, kaftan blouses, plain-coloured jumpsuits with slit details, wide pants to wear with ethereal shirts. The lightness of fabrics combined with contrasting bold colours such as green, pink, raspberry and terracotta, liven up flowing dresses which are never austere and the same for the range of suits with flowing trousers and soft blazer.
The silk-scarf prints are of a pictorial quality, tropical flowers or bouquets of maxi-tulips, stripes and polka dots alternate with black and powder-pink for a refined display of style and define Marella’s new code of graphics.
