Collection Max Mara Spring/Summer 2024

A new utility glamour is inspired by the workwear of the Land Girls in the 1940’s and by the passion for urban gardens that is greening our modern cities.

From the overalls and dungarees worn by the heroines of the Land Army to the bold floral prints, inspired by the garden of the English poet Vita Sackville-West, Max Mara is taking summer glamour outside.

 

 

Land girls’ style with jodhpurs and siren suits inspire silhouettes with capacious pockets and tough reinforced stitching. Characterful drills are dyed in a profusion of pastoral colours.

Trench coats and generous out sized jackets define the outerwear. Backless sundresses are reminiscent of gardeners’ aprons. And triple layered chiffon gowns with gaberdine straps take the tough chic message from day to evening.
